Global warming. Hmm. Does anyone remember in the 1970’s when we had smog alerts in California? Our air was so thick that as children we could not go outside and play. That was our reality. Now due to government regulations and catalytic converters that every new car must have our air is so clean that we can barely commit suicide by sucking on a new car exhaust pipe. People will say that it is not the cars that are causing the global warming but aren’t cars the biggest carbon dioxide emitting culprits?
When I see an agenda being pushed so hard by a political party (global warming by the liberal party) I question it. It is never as it seems. I have a suspicious nature and I analyze the hell out of it and I think that is a good thing, to be suspicious that is. There are two motivators in politics and business. Money and power. I think we need to question why this agenda is being pushed because I think certain very wealthy and very powerful people will benefit from this being pushed through. Look at who has invested in electric cars and solar and wind power and are they the one pushing this “global warming” agenda?
I am on social media and the internet to share my art and to sell some art but I find that I need to participate in what I see and read. As I get older I find it harder to keep my mouth shut. What I see online and in the media is a plethora of “group think” mentality and it is the left versus the right and I am baffled at what happened to having simple common sense? What happened to individual critical thinking? I look at and listen to other views and then I make up my own mind about it. I do not follow a line of thinking that I picked up from the media or online, I actually think about it and analyze it and weigh it to judge if it is valid or not.
If global warming is real then we should do something about it. However I think we should question it. I remember when I was a child being scared to death that our environment was in a death spiral. We were taught that our earth was doomed in the 1970’s and guess what? We and the earth are still here and our air is cleaner than ever.
Life is art. It can be beautiful and it can be ugly. Art is truth. Truth can be beautiful and it can be ugly. Question everything. Have the courage to really think for yourself.
