Grace

Grace 14"x11" on a linen panel

I’m delighted to share Grace, the first painting in my new series, Faces and Flowers.

Throughout my life, I’ve been drawn to two things in particular: faces and flowers. I’ve spent years drawing and painting both, captivated by their beauty, their individuality, and the emotions they can evoke. With this new series, I’m bringing these two lifelong passions together, creating paintings that combine beauty, symbolism, and meaning in ways that invite the viewer to pause and look a little closer.

Grace features a lamb surrounded by abstracted white roses, their pastel petals creating an atmosphere of peace and innocence. At the bottom of the composition, three red roses introduce a deeper meaning. One bears a single, delicate drop that might, at first glance, be mistaken for water. But look a little closer, and you may discover something more.

The lamb, the white roses, the red blooms, and that tiny drop are all part of a story of love, sacrifice, and grace. For me, this painting is deeply faith based and reflects my love for God and my gratitude for the sacrifice at the heart of my belief. Yet I wanted the symbolism to unfold quietly, allowing each person to discover what speaks to them.

This is what I hope to explore throughout Faces and Flowers: the meeting of beauty and meaning, the stories we carry, and the emotions that a painting can awaken. Each piece will be its own world, with its own combination of faces, flowers, and symbolism.

I hope you’ll take a moment to look, to notice the details, and to discover what this painting says to you.
